Butcher opens freezer door with sausage after being trapped
A British butcher now has ivestock sausage to thank for his life. This is after he used a frozen sausage to escape from a freezer wherein he had been trapped. Chris McCabe, a British butcher in Southwest England, recently recounted the horrific experience went through last month after getting trapped inside a freezer
36 year old Chris had just casually entered his walk-in freezer when suddenly, a strong gush of wind blew the freezer door shut. Following the door’s closure, Chris quickly reached safety button in an attempt to open the door and escape. He was however in for an agonizing shock as the button had frozen under the -20 C temperature.
Chris at that point knew he had to act swiftly if ever he was to escape the chilling freezer temperatures. It is then that it occurred to him to pick a frozen sausage and use it to batter the ice off the button. This proved successful as the layers of ice quickly crumbled under the 1.5kg weight of the black pudding sausage. It is in this way that he was able to exit the freezer and escape possible dangers such as hypothermia.
