Having a job can be a pleasurable experience, or downright monotonous task, depending who you ask.
Most commonly, we cant seem to keep up with the daily demand of our jobs, and are promptly discharged, but occasionally we find people whom are truly efficient at our jobs, and go on to earn increases in salary as well as promotion in job title.
There are also rare cases where a bad break in an old job was in fact a gateway to the ideal job, instances like Gavel the German Shepherd.
How Gavy The Dog Got A Promotion At Work Yes, you read that right, this is about the strange news regarding Gavel the German Shepherd. A dog.
Tasked with being a police service dog for the Queensland Police Service in Queensland, Australia, rather than sniffing out gas, smoke, and other incendiary explosives, Gavel took a completely different approach to the job, and chose to remain mans best friend. Whenever strangers would pass by, Gavy would roll over while wagging his tail, signaling a desire to be tickled and cuddled.
While most of us love dogs and find them simply adorable, the Queensland Police Force simply couldn’t put up with Gavy, and his inability to do as required, which is why in February, Gavy was cut from the Queensland Police Force 16-month training program.
Gavys New Gig. Although his stint as a police dog was brief and uneventful, Gavys new gig would not
take him far away from home.
During his training with the Queensland Police, Gavy lovable nature earned him a friend in Gov. Paul De Jersey, the Governor of Queensland himself. It seems the governor had grown quite fond of Gavy from as early as he was 10 months old, and awarded Gavy with the reputable position of Vice-Regal Dog. It is safe to assume that Gavy got the last woof.
