Family of Slain Teen Win Judgement Against C-Murder
Corey Miller better known by his stage name C-Murder, who was one of the most popular rappers in the early 2000’s and brother to hip hop mogul Master -P has been serving a life sentence for the murder of a sixteen year old fan back in 2002 at a popular night, were an altercation had broken out and surveillance camera’s captured Miller opening fire in the middle of the club; striking and killing Steven Thomas who had been inside of the club that fatal night although he was underage.
C-Murder was later arrested and charged with second degree murder, for the killing of the sixteen year old child. Although Miller has always maintained his innocence; with all the eye witness testimony and the camera’s placing the weapon in Miller’s hand when the gunshots were being fired, he was convicted and sentence to life in prison .
The parents of the slain teen also took additional legal action against Miller and filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Miller shortly after the verdict was handed down. The lawsuit had been under legal litigation ever since 2004 and now a judge has ruled in the families of the sixteen year old victims favor and awarded the parents a 1.5 million dollar payout from rapper C-Murder.
